About Leap of Faith

Leap of Faith is the contemporary worship band of Sewickley United Methodist Church in Sewickley, Pennsylvania.

For more than 15 years, we have led worship through music rooted in faith, hope, and community. What began as a group of musicians helping launch a contemporary worship service has grown into a close-knit musical family, bringing together vocalists, guitars, keyboards, drums, bass, violin, saxophone, and other instruments to create a unique worship experience.

While we continue to draw inspiration from contemporary Christian music, we are also passionate about writing and performing original songs. Our debut album, The River Rises, features nine songs shaped by scripture, worship, and the experiences of everyday life. Many of these songs were first shared with our congregation before finding a wider audience through recording.

At the heart of everything we do is a simple goal: to use music to help people encounter God’s love, find hope, and connect more deeply with one another.
